The ruins of a shrine that is as ancient as it is mysterious. Its cavernous depths lead down into an underground palace, which curiously resembles a shadow of Mihashira Capital.

Amagaeshi Shrine is an extremely unique location in Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin in that it's a completely optional location, there are no objectives, and the structure is entirely different to that of anywhere in the game. It is more like a dungeon than anything else in that it consists of room after room of enemies for Sakuna to clear. It is an expansive maze spanning 300 floors, with altar stones every 5 floors to provide a checkpoint. But please note that you will get the SHRINE MAIDEN trophy (on PlayStation) after clearing the floor 100th, even though the description says "Clear the lowest floor of the Amagaeshi Shrine".

Take note that some floors are blocked off until you progress to a certain point in the story; if you cannot progress, try progressing in the story.

Objectives[]

Amagaeshi Shrine has no objectives.

Item List[]

Treasure List[]

There are no treasure boxes in Amagaeshi Shrine.

Enemies Encountered[]

Aside from Camellia Toad, Demon Catfish and the final boss of the game (the first two of which are encountered in their specter forms anyway), Every single enemy that can be encountered in the game can be encountered here, including ones unique to Amagaeshi Shrine.

Useful Gear[]

There are many pieces of equipment useful in Amagaeshi Shrine:

  • Spirit bough icon Life Drain - Life Drain gives Sakuna health whenever she defeats an enemy, which is extremely useful since most rooms have a high quantity of enemies.
  • Spirit bough icon Retribution - Retribution gives Sakuna a large amount of health for clearing an encounter, which comes in very useful if you intend to keep going.
