A lake controlled by demons whose abilities have been strengthened by the cursed energy of burning obsidian.
The Blighted Lake is encountered during story progression in the "river" series of levels to save the Kappa and cleanse the river of demon influence.
It follows the Bubbling Sandbar, and is followed by the Radiant River Gorge.

Three of the four objectives here are self explanatory; the barrier stones are the purple floating stones projecting purple fields in the enemy areas. "Equip the Waterborne power" is itself a vague objective - this refers to a Spirit Bough equipped on the Scale Hunter's Garment - equipping the garment or entering the level with it equipped will mark the objective as completed.

Useful Gear[]
The Scale Hunter's Garment is extremely useful here, as it allows Sakuna to move through the water bubbles much faster as well as raising her stats in battle with aquatic enemies, which comprise a lot of the Blighted Lake's enemies.
