The Kappa, while not having the ability to speak in a language Sakuna or most humans can understand, speaking in strange animal noises, are quite intelligent. Having a gentle soul, one of the Kappa sought out help after their habitat was taken over by a demon lord. In a strange bit of luck, Kaimaru followed after them getting lost. Tauemon went after Kaimaru and ended up being stranded in a labryinth. The Kappa followed Sakuna when she came to resuce Tauemon and Kaimaru back to the house and came to an agreement. After Sakuna had defeated the demon lord, The Kappa will join the cause of growing rice in the other fields.
Once the trade agreement with the capital is finished, there will a request from the Kappa to be given cucumbers so make sure you have some on hand.
